The Needle Trek (Te Rua Manga) 413m Moderate The Needle Trek is the first half of the Cross Island Trek, instead of turning left at the sign point trekkers can carrying on the trail up to the highest point of mountain. The rock that sits atop the mountain can be climbed (with caution) and has the most amazing view at the top! If you're lucky you may meet the infamous hiking roster! Yes you read that right, a hiking roster who loves to join in and follow his fellow trekkers up and/or down the mountain. Only in Rarotonga! Take care when coming down the mountain. The route coming down is the same way you went up. Don't forget to take water, a snack, sunscreen and mosquito repellent along with you.
