Unlike the beaches of Hawaii, Tahiti or even Rarotonga, Mangaia has gorgeous and secluded beaches like Araoa tucked away within the surrounding makatea (raised coral atoll). Located near the airport, Ara'ora Beach is a great place to stop for a swim or adventure among the rocks.
